Distinguished Service’ is the fifth collaboration between Christopher Jary and Nick Speakman. This brand new book details the brave exploits of around a hundred men from the Devonshire and Dorsetshire regiments (including their parent Regiments, the 11th, the 39th and the 54th of Foot) up until 1914.

It details campaigns such as the Peninsula Wars, the Crimean War and the Wars in South Africa, and features a reproduction of a piece by Jeremy Archer ‘Saving  the Sarah Sands’.

Distinguished Service is a must read for anybody interested in the 11th Foot, 39th Foot, 54th Foot, Devonshire Regiment and Dorsetshire Regiment, and gallantry awards 1799-1914.
