Discover Your Military Object Sessions

20th February 10am-4:30pm- Free drop in sessions

Clearing out the house and discovered some old photographs? Have a family member’s medals but aren’t sure what they are or why they were awarded? Found a military uniform in the back of a wardrobe?

Come along to our Discover Your Military Object drop in sessions!

We’ve previously helped identify medals, decipher symbols on an embroidered belt, and work out stories hidden inside collections of documents, as well as identifying uniforms and cap badges in a number of photographs.

Bring your object to the museum during one of our drop in sessions, and we’ll do our best to tell you everything we can about it. If you’re not able to bring the object, feel free to bring photos, but please make sure that there as detailed and as high quality as possible!

These sessions are free, and it is not necessary to purchase an admission ticket to come to the drop in session.
