What’s On in April at The Keep Military Museum!

Come along to the Museum this March, with information below about the events we’re running this month!

The Great Museums Easter Trail 2023- 1st of April 3pm-7pm

Have an egg-stra special start to the Easter holidays with The Great Museums Easter Trail. A family-friendly event from Dorset Museum, The Keep Military Museum and Shire Hall Museum, you can visit all three museums in one extraordinary afternoon.

With an interactive trail throughout, each Museum will also be hosting its own Easter-themed activities. With Kids going free and Adult tickets at just £10, The Great Museums Easter Trail is a brilliant afternoon for all the family. Find out more about Dorset Museum and Shire Hall on their websites.

Easter Keep-sakes Art Competition!- From 1st-16th of April

Join us this Easter at the Keep Military Museum from the 1st-16th of April for 2023’s Keep-sakes Art Competition!

Grab a competition booklet from the front desk, find the items on our Easter trail, and do your best drawing of each one! Our team of judges will then choose the winning drawings, with winners announced on the 21st of April- prizes include museum goodie bags and Easter chocolate treats.

The trail is included in the price of admission, and anyone is welcome to submit an entry. The competition categories will be split between under 7s, 8-14 years, and 15+. Check out last years winning drawings here!

Young Historian’s Day- Thursday 13th of April

To celebrate the release of the Keep Military Museum’s Young Historians latest project, the Keeping it Real podcast, the Museum is offering free entry to the museum for all history students!

On Thursday 13th of April, any history student studying GCSE, A Level, or degree level History can visit the museum for free- all you have to do is bring your student ID or school/college timetable with you to show at the front desk!

The same day, the first episode of the Keeping It Real podcast will be released- keep an eye on our social media pages and website for more information about the podcast…
