Description

Dorset County Flag.

Screen printed 100% polyester flag with two metal eyelets. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The flag measures 5ft x 3ft.

The colours in the Dorset flag are symbolic- the red and white tie to the English flag, with the yellow symbolises Dorset’s agricultural heritage and world-famous beaches. The Dorset County Flag is also known as “St Wites Cross”, and was decided by a public vote organised by Dorset Council in 2008.

St Wite is considered to be Dorset’s patron saint. Her remains are in the parish church of Whitchurch Canonicorum. This is one of the only English shrines to have made it through the reformation intact.
