Young Historians Club at the Keep Military Museum
Young Historians is a history club for 14-19 year olds who are interested in history, museums, military history, and gaining practical experience while still in education. It is a fun and educational social club with sessions led by our Outreach Officer.
We meet weekly at the Army Reserve Centre, Barrack Road, Dorchester on Thursday evenings from 1700 – 1830. Sessions include activities, challenges, design, research, group projects and being involved in the community.
It is free to attend, and everyone is welcome.
Our current project is making a Game based on Historical Events and Figures.
Previous projects include creating a podcast, Keeping It Real: The Podcast which promoted collecting oral history and using digital equipment and software.
Our Outreach Officer is safeguarding trained and DBS checked.

Young Historians is free to attend and everyone is welcome. The Young Historians Manifesto, written by our 2022/23 cohort, can be found here!
