1945: Through Hell to Victory – Dorchester Library

1945: Through Hell to Victory is the latest touring exhibition from The Keep Military Museum in Dorchester. The exhibition tells the story of the end of the Second World War, as experienced by the people and regiments of Devon and Dorset. From the beaches of Normandy to the jungles of Kohima, our local heroes were at the forefront of turning the tide of war, seeing it through to victory and beyond. The Keep is delighted to be installing the exhibition in Dorchester Library in October 2026.

1945: Through Hell to Victory exhibition is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to curate and present the exhibition at The Nothe Fort, amongst other locations. The exhibition is also funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and awarded by Museum Development South West with thanks to support from Arts Council England.
