This short history of an Infantry Battalion during the campaign of 1944/45 in Western Europe has been written primarily for the benefit of those who served in it. The story, told in pain and simple language, of hard fighting, successful battles, courage and endurance, may serve those who took part in them, and the relatives and friends of those whose names are on the Roll of Honour at the end of the book.
