The evening will begin with a drinks reception at the Dorchester Army Reserve Centre (across from the museum), but ticket holders will also enjoy free entry to the museum during the day. Guests will have the opportunity to view some of the weapons and equipment used by troops during the Normandy Campaign (Operation Overlord) and D-Day in 1944. The evening will culminate with a special talk focusing on the experiences of the men of 231 Brigade from The Devonshire Regiment, The Hampshire Regiment and The Dorsetshire Regiment. The talk is hosted by author and military historians Christopher Jary and Lt Col (Retd) James Porter.
