We are pleased to announce that our new procedures have gained the Good to Go certification from Visit England, so visitors can be assured that we are following government and industry Covid-19 Guidelines. We ask that you follow the guidance available at the Museum.

At first the Museum will only be open on TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS, 10am - 4pm. Pre-booking is essential.

Booking: You must book a timeslot to visit the Museum - entrance is currently FREE. The link to book your ticket is here:  BOOK TICKETS

If you are unable to book online, please call the Museum on 01305 264066. We have a maximum number of visitors per slot to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit. Please arrive on time for your visit. If you are late, we may not be able to admit you.

If you book the 2:45pm slot, please note that the Museum closes at 4:00pm.

Payment: Card payments are preferred where possible for any purchases.

Safety Information

You must wear a face covering for the duration of your visit. If you are exempt from wearing a mask, please let the front desk know on your arrival.

A one-way system is in place around the Museum. Please follow the signs and ask our staff/volunteer team if you require any assistance.

Hand sanitiser stations are placed at key points: the Museum entrance, the toilets and at the entrance to each floor. Please use them.

The Museum is cleaned before opening, with regular cleaning of ‘touch-points’ throughout the day.

Toilets are open, with a ‘one-in’ ‘one-out’ policy. External locks have been installed so you can see when the area is occupied. Please use the hand sanitiser at the entrance.

The Lift is available for essential use only. Please use the stairs if you are able.

There is a no touch policy around the Museum. You will be provided with a booklet giving you information about the exhibits (or you can download it to print, or download it to your phone from our website here). Children can be provided with a trail activity and a free pencil.

Please be advised that we will ask for and hold your contact details for NHS Test and Trace purposes for 3 weeks. Your information will then be destroyed.

We are currently unable to accept object donations or to deal with enquiries over the desk. Please get in touch via email or call us on 01305 264066 instead to discuss.
