Volunteers Volunteers at The Keep Military
Museum give thousands of hours of invaluable help to the Museum every year. Their varied tasks include transcription and research,
conservation work, writing articles for the website, managing the library, helping with display work and assisting in the shop.
Some of the Museum's collections are managed by our volunteer experts. We try to give our volunteers tasks which match their
personal interests and experience.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet like-minded people and gives you the opportunity to learn new skills too. It is a very
satisfying way to spend some spare time.
The Museum could not carry out all its work without the support of its volunteer workforce. We are always on the look-out for
new volunteers, particularly those with an interest in Military History or specialist skills such as IT, archive conservation or
reading old handwriting.
We have many openings for volunteers so if you are interested in joining our team, please ring the Curator on 01305 264066.
