How can we help?
The Keep Military Museum offers a research service, which is primarily aimed at the family historian. There is a £15.00 fee for conducting research, which is payable in advance. Our research co-ordinator, Jane Mills, is a volunteer as are our researchers. Please allow 2-8 weeks for a reply. For details on how to request research read the information below.

What type of researcher can we assist?
Research requests: please see out link ‘How can I submit a research request?’
Private visits in person: we also offer personal visits to our private archives, which are by appointment only and you will be provided with a researcher to accompany you with your research. Times will depend on the researcher’s availability. These visits are charged at £30.00 and any photocopying is extra, this covers 2 hours with a researcher. Appointments must be made 4 weeks in advance to ensure that we hold sufficient information to aid you enquiry.
Commercial Enquiries: please contact the Curator regarding any information which will be published in the public domain.
Students: If you are a student and you wish to carry out research please contact the Curator to discuss your requirements.

Our research is carried out by a team of dedicated volunteers and we request £15.00 for all research enquiries.
How can I pay?
Fees: Our fees for research are levied on a not-for-profit basis and are used to fund the conservation and maintenance of the museum and its archives, as well as covering costs incurred. The charge of £15.00 which must be paid in advance is based on the time to complete the research and the preparation of a helpful and where possible informative response. Please allow 2-8 weeks for a reply. Each research enquiry is unique so times depend on the research required.
