Keep Friends

'The Keep' is a fine building standing at the top of the town in Dorchester. It used to be the guardroom and gateway to the Depot Barracks of the former Dorset Regiment. It houses the splendid collection of the participating regiments that make up the Military Museum of Devon and Dorset. The Museum is fortunate to be located in such an historic and impressive building at an imposing position in Dorchester.

The Museum charity aim to provide a fine tribute to all those who have served in the regiments of Devon and Dorset and to preserve the memory of both the countys' Infantry and Yeomanry Cavalry. We also have a remit to educate and inform all sectors of the public.

'Keep Friends' was established in 2002 to provide practical and financial assistance. The Friends have contributed over £58,000 in the past twelve years enabling the Museum to flourish, continue to develop and remain up to date and relevant. If you wish to help us continue this work do please consider joining the 'Friends'.
