The Devonshire & Dorset Regiment |

The badge is made up of two elements from each of the old Devonshire and old Dorset badges:
- Devonshire - Exeter Castle, with the motto 'Semper Fidelis' (Ever Faithful);
- Dorset - A Sphinx on a tablet Marabout above the motto 'Primus in Indus' (First in India).

A centre of the mailed fist of the Royal Armoured Corps, superimposed on crossed carbine and cavalry sabre. Circlet inscribed Tu
ne cede malis' (Yield not to Misfortune - family motto of the Dawson Damer family of Came Park, Dorchester), surmounted with
a Queen's crown. Scroll emblazoned 'Dorset Yeomanry'.
